Researchers, please add your publications from 2020-2021 to TUNICRIS by 14 January 2022 in order to have them included in internal and external reporting (Ministry of Education’s publication data collecting and University’s other official reporting). Every researcher should check that all of their publications from the years 2020-2021 are in TUNICRIS.

The Ministry of Education measures the quantity and quality of research conducted at universities through research publications. Publication data collected annually are used as a criterion for allocating core funding to universities. Publications account for 14% of universities' core funding in 2021-2024. Openly published peer-reviewed articles and books are taken into account in the funding model by an additional factor of 1.2.

Self-Archiving

Self-archiving is one way of making publications openly available. In accordance with the Tampere Universities Open Science Policy, all scientific publications should be self-archived if the publisher’s policy allows for it.
