After Paris – Communicating Climate Policy in the EU

LFC Lecture on CLimate policy in the EU with Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, European Commission Spokesperson for Climate Action and Energy.

Prior to her current role, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen was the Head of Communications at the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office. She was member of cabinet of Vice-President for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Olli Rehn 2010-2013 and a Press Officer in High Representative/Commission Vice-President Catherine Ashton’s team in 2010. She started working with EU-communications in 2002 in the Commission Representation in Helsinki and then as Press Officer at the Parliament of Finland

Comments will be given by Johanna Kentala-Lehtonen, Senior Specialist at the Ministry of Environment (YM), who has recently (2019) completed her dissertation titled 'Climate Change as Problem of Direction and Pace of Transition: Large Finnish Business Actors’ Identity, Interests, and Political Response Strategies to Climate Politics' (Faculty of Management and Business, Tampere University).

In an evolving world, multi-disciplinary, joint sector approaches are required to tackle the problems we face. To better understand these problems and how to lead change, LFC Lectures bring experts from various fields to share their advice and practices with the public. Join the lectures for a chance to learn from skillful leaders. The event is held in English and is open to everyone. Free entrance.
