Reviews of TAMK operations

Education
TAMK maintained its strong appeal in the joint application of spring 2025, coming in as the second most popular university of applied science in Finland, based on the number of primary applicants.

Research, development and innovation
The year 2025 was a period of major structural reforms in RDI activities and preparations for growth. With the updated strategy, we set an ambitious target: to triple TAMK’s RDI volume by 2030.

Continuous learning
During 2025, TAMK significantly increased its resources and strengthened its position as a regional, national and global provider of continuous learning.

Personnel
We developed our personnel’s competences throughout the year, focusing especially on pedagogical expertise and artificial intelligence. We also designed a pathway to a doctoral degree and a researcher career path to support TAMK's strategy.

Sustainability and social responsibility
TAMK’s sustainability and social responsibility work extended from in-house all the way to Europe. We kept highlighting the matter diligently within our community and achieved entirely new levels of success, reflected in improved personnel perceptions.

Students' Union Tamko
Tamko’s year involved promoting community spirit and bilingualism among students, lobbying at elections, and working closely with TAMK and other partners.

UNINOVIS alliance
Comprising of eight European higher education institutions, the UNINOVIS alliance significantly strengthened TAMK's international standing, expertise and partner networks.

University corporate group cooperation
We were determined in our efforts to improve cooperation between TAMK and Tampere University. For example, we deepened our education cooperation, specifically in the entrepreneurial studies, and established our first joint Professor of Practice role.
