The German Language and Culture module is especially intended for students who are not attending the Teaching German as a Second Subject module. To attend this module, you must have completed at least the basic syllabus in the German language (or equivalent) in upper secondary school and have a good command of the Finnish language. A placement test is required for admission to the German Language and Culture module.
Germany is a major force in Europe geographically, politically, economically and linguistically. Germany has traditionally had, and continues to have, a significant impact on the culture, society and economy of Finland. It is also a popular destination for our outgoing exchange students. The demand for professionals who are fluent in German and familiar with the culture of German-speaking countries will continue to grow in the future. An excellent command of the German language will open up a broad range of career options in Finland and abroad and offer you the opportunity to learn first-hand about the literature and diverse cultures of German-speaking countries.
The courses included in the module are selected from the range of basic, intermediate and advanced courses.
