Description
Power Electronics minor gives basic knowledge on electric machines, magnetic circuits, power electronic devices and their applications.
It is also possible to take the module as a minor with 20 credits worth of course by taking all the compulsory courses and one of the complementary courses.
Objectives
- Power Electronics minor gives basic knowledge on the use of power electronics in different applications. The student will understand the benefits but also the limitations of power electronic devices.
- The student know terminology related to power electronics, the operating principle of switchigng components and the operating principle of power electronic devices.
- Student knows the operating principle of mainly used electric machine types and magnetic circuits.
