Tampere Literary Evenings (TALES) is a series of talks and discussions organized by a group of literature PhD students at Tampere University. During each event, two guest speakers will introduce the session’s topic with a short speech, followed by a general discussion. Each event has a different theme; all of them are held in English. 

Our guest speakers’ introductions can include (but are not limited to) short presentations, readings, performances, or even a bold opening argument. In the following discussion, we hope to engage with these speeches in an informal yet thoughtful manner. The audience is welcome to join in, or simply listen to our speakers’ inputs! Tampere Literary Evenings is organised in collaboration with Tampere University’s Research Center for Languages, PLURAL.
