Oma esittely

I am a geologist by training and currently pursuing a PhD in Earth Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), India. I like to conduct experiments to understand the crystal plastic deformation of hydrous minerals that governs the mechanics of earthquakes. I employ instrumented micro- to nanoindentation at room and elevated temperature conditions to understand the dehydration kinetics and its role in the deformation mechanism of hydrous minerals that play a crucial role in the nucleation process of earthquakes.

Työtehtävät

At Tampere University, my primary role as an EDUFI visiting doctoral researcher is to conduct nanoindentation experiments on geomaterials at room and elevated temperatures.
