Oma esittely

Hi! In my research, I investigate material stocks accumulated inside the Finnish built environment and the material flows and carbon emissions generated through construction and demolition. I examine these phenomena across different geographical scales from individual building sites to regional and national developments.

The overarching aim of my work is to explore the secondary resource potential of Finland's currently existing buildings in the context of future population dynamics. Naturally, the circular economy hierarchy builds a strong foundation for this research, guiding efforts to extend the useful life of existing built-environment services and embedded materials.
