Oma esittely

I am a Doctoral Researcher in Marketing at Tampere University, working at the intersection of marketing, strategy and managerial cognition. I transitioned into academia after 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting and corporate strategy across Europe, the UK and Asia. My professional work has included strategic planning, market analysis, financial modelling, M&A due diligence and decision support for corporate clients. These experiences gave me first-hand insight into how organisations make complex strategic choices under uncertainty, time pressure and incomplete information, and motivated my interest in the cognitive foundations of market shaping decision making.

I hold an MBA from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School and an MSc in Economics from the Financial University. My research and professional background allow me to bridge academic theory with business practice and to approach market-shaping questions from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Osaamisalueiden kuvaus

My expertise lies at the intersection of market shaping, strategy, managerial cognition and decision-making.

My doctoral research examines how firms interpret markets, assess capacity to influence market development and make strategic choices about where and how to intervene. I am particularly interested in the cognitive mechanisms underlying these processes, including heuristics, analogies, cognitive frames, and biases.

I also investigate how artificial intelligence can support managerial cognition, e.g., by challenging assumptions, identifying alternative interpretations, reducing cognitive biases and supporting more reflective and data-informed strategic decision-making.

Tutkimustavoitteet

My research aims to advance understanding of the cognitive foundations of strategic market shaping, i.e. how managers and organisations interpret uncertain and constantly evolving dynamics in markets, construct views of possible futures, assess malleability and their own shaping capacity, and translate their interpretations into strategic action.

My overall goal is to do research that contributes to academic understanding of cognition and market shaping as well as to generate practical insights to help organisations make better strategic decisions in uncertain and rapidly changing markets.
