This study explores grief following the death of an animal companion through human–nonhuman relations. Drawing on the concept of the transindividual, it examines grief as a collective and relational process within more‑than‑human communities. The study challenges individualistic and human‑centred understandings of grief and offers new conceptual tools for both research and professional practice.
