Background
Finland's people age rapidly and there is need for new ways to arrange senior housing. When creating housing and services, we need to take into consideration various questions and actors, such as municipalities, service providers and builders.
Goal
The goals of the project were:
- Find good models and practices for senior housing, that work in practice.
- Create new design solutions that are flexible and versatile.
- New models and technologies for service production.
- Suggestions for the development of senior housing surveillance and norms.
- International senior housing models and their applications in Finland.
Impact
The project produced foreknowledge on future senior housing that is age friendly. It also created concepts and operating models for senior housing. By co-developing it produced suggestions for the surveillance and regulation of senior housing.
