Winter Satellite Workshop 2027 is one of Northern Europe’s established meeting places for the space community. Held in Helsinki on 19–21 January 2027, the event brings together researchers, companies, policymakers, entrepreneurs and students from across Europe and beyond. Participation is free of charge, and in recent years the event has attracted approximately 2,000 participants from around the world.
The programme covers a broad range of topical areas, from space technology and satellite missions to Earth observation, space science and exploration, business and policy, security and defence, space sustainability, and satellite communications. The event features international keynote speakers, scientific and technical sessions, panel discussions, workshops, pitch competitions, student events and networking opportunities.
A key part of the event is the extensive Space Business EXPO, bringing together companies and organisations from the Nordic space industry and beyond to showcase technologies, services and new opportunities for collaboration. Students and young professionals are also an important part of the event community, with dedicated activities and opportunities to connect with potential employers and find summer jobs and thesis projects.
