Training for tutors of exchange students in the spring semester 2027 on Hervanta campus

During this training, you will learn about the role and responsibilities of an international student tutor, as well as the basic principles of tutoring. The session will also cover supporting exchange students, intercultural encounters, student wellbeing, and other practical topics that will help you in your tutoring role. As a tutor, you will have the opportunity to develop your communication, teamwork, and organisational skills in an international environment, meet new people, and gain valuable experience.

Serving as an international student tutor can also be included in the internationalisation module of your degree. Tutoring exchange students is an important form of internationalisation at home and supports the university's internationalisation goals.

Please note that the training will be held in English. The session will not be recorded, but the training materials will be made available on Moodle afterwards.

Tutors selected in autumn 2026 for the spring semester 2027 exchange student tutoring will receive an invitation to the training by email.
