Support for Information Searching: Workshops for Students in Autumn 2026

Have you already participated in information seaching training, but you still have questions regarding information searching or library’s e-resources? Join an information searching workshop!
In the information searching workshops you will receive guided support in finding background materials for your thesis or other assignments, review information searching techniques, and learn how to find reliable and up-to-date information. The workshops are open to students of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The workshops are held at the library’s Linna and TAMK locations as well as online. Workshops take place on Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Fridays from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM.
Register for a Workshop
- See the detailed workshop schedule on the library website.
- Register for a workshop using the registration form no later than the Monday of the workshop week.
- Participants in online workshops will receive a participation link no later than the day before the workshop.
Library Guides to Support Your Studies
- The library’s subject guides provide extensive collections of e-journals, e-books, and printed materials in your field.
- The Information Searching Guide supports independent learning. It includes tips on selecting search terms and information sources, as well as evaluating search results.
Tips for Remote Access to E-Resources
- Sign in to the Andor discovery service using your TUNI username.
- Access e-resources via the database list by signing in with your TUNI username or through two-factor authentication.
- When using Haka login, select Tampere Universities as your home organization.
- Instructions for authentication are available on the intranet.
