Shared Encounters is an immersive art installation built around a generative AI system that continuously reworks the human figure. Projected at large scale, a body slowly becomes something other than itself, drifts through unfamiliar forms and then finds its way back.
You stand in the space, free to move, alongside one other participant you haven't met before. What unfolds on the screen is strange, beautiful and at times unsettling, and you meet it together.
The installation is also an experiment. Throughout the session a small sensor records subtle changes in physiological arousal. After each of the two scenes you answer a few short questions, and at the end there is a brief individual interview about your experience.
