Tampere University is building the healthcare of the future

At Tampere University, medicine and technology come together in a unique way, enabling the development of next-generation healthcare solutions. Our work is based on so-called P4 medicine: predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory healthcare.

Noodi’s research environment brings together medicine, technology and digital solutions, creating new opportunities to develop care and diagnostics.

Our research focuses on:

Digital and AI-assisted health technologies: We develop solutions for early diagnosis and personalized care, including advanced medical imaging, speech-assistive communication technologies, non-invasive diagnostic methods and digital twins for predictive care.
Next-generation care technologies: We create new ways to diagnose and treat diseases by developing smart implants, body-on-chip technologies and solutions that improve treatment safety and reduce the need for animal testing.

Information for Donors

Fundraising permit

Tampere University Foundation sr, which operates as Tampere University, has a fundraising permit. Donated funds will be used to support activities described in section 2 of the Finnish Universities Act. Donated funds can also be added to the University’s basic capital, and the generated revenues will be used to support activities described in section 2 of the Universities Act. The fundraising permit was issued by the National Police Board of Finland on 15 May 2020. The permit will remain in force indefinitely.

Tax deductibility

Donations of €850 or more made to Tampere University during a calendar year are tax deductible. If you make a donation as a private individual, we will handle the tax deduction notification on your behalf.
