Tampere Universities
The Tampere Universities community was established in 2019 when Tampere University of Technology and the University of Tampere merged to create the new multidisciplinary, foundation-based Tampere University, and Tampere University Foundation, operating as Tampere University, became the majority shareholder of Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
We are a higher education community of more than 35,000 students and over 5,000 staff members. Our slogan is Human Potential Unlimited.

For students
We offer extensive study opportunities and a vibrant student community, with associations, clubs and events to suit all interests.
Students can undertake cross-institutional studies at both institutions, enabling them to combine the strengths of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences within their degree. They also have the opportunity to take courses in sustainable entrepreneurship, which are offered by HUBS to all students in our higher education community. In addition, students have access to library services and the SportUni sports centres across all our campuses.
For staff
We offer not only a broad network of colleagues but also shared projects that provide staff with opportunities to gain new perspectives beyond their own campus and area of expertise.
Some internal services, such as property management, financial and IT services, are delivered collaboratively across the higher education community. Staff have access to library services and the SportUni sports centres across all our campuses.
For partners
Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences maintain both independent and shared partnerships. All partners benefit from our collaboration that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries as well as from access to the expertise of our specialist teams. We help our partners connect with appropriate experts and services across our community and campuses.
