The course familiarizes students to key contributions within the business model literature. Emphasis is placed on understanding the characteristics of business models and their respective components. Novel types of business models (e.g. platform-based business models) are addressed. In addition, students focus on understanding business transformations using a business model lens.

completed course in Moodle. Videos and articles that will be
compiled into a learning portfolio.

After completing the course the student understands the key approaches to business models and their principal elements. The student is able to compare alternative conceptualizations of business models and undestand how and why they differ. Further, the student is able to use the business model as a lens to analyze current business transformations.

No prior studies are required for this course.
