A student attaining grade "good" can design and implement smallish (consisting some hundreds lines of code at maximum) programs independently: the student is able to divide the program to parts that can be implemented separately in a practicable way plus design simple data structures and algorithms. Especially the student:<ul><li>can use a version control system (in single programmer's projects without remote repositories)</li><li>can use the most common STL containers, algorithms, and iterators</li><li>can write recursive functions</li><li>can use pointers and indirect pointing</li><li>understands the principles of (dynamic) memory management.</li></ul>

Programming 2: Techniques, Teaching

In this course, you will learn to program with C++. You are expected to have earlier programmed with some programming language.

Multi-modal teaching

The course includes weekly exercises, programming projects, and an electronic exam. More precise information can be found from Plussa. The course will be implemented both in Finnish and English.
