After completing this course the student knows different forms of conversational AI (including chatbots, social robots, speech assistants), How to design for conversational systems (tone of voice, building trust, personalization / adaptation​), Principles of speech-based human-technology interaction​, contemporary tools to prototype conversational AI systems (e.g., voiceflow, Furhat), Basis of non-speech audio (e.g., auditory icons, earcons, music, auralization, soundscapes)​.

There are no spesific compulsory prerequisite courses, but the course level is advanced studies, so students are expected to be familiar with university studies.
