Virtual Lab for Social and Health Care website

Virtual Lab for Social and Health Care is a multidisciplinary learning and development environment for health and wellbeing technology. We research, test and develop remote, virtual and digital solutions and services for the social and health care sector.

We work in close cooperation with other actors in the Tampere Health Technology and Life Sciences Ecosystem, wellbeing and health technology companies, health and social services organisations and wellbeing services counties.

Services

We offer services to, for example, welfare and health technology companies and health and social services providers. The services are implemented either as expert work or as expert-led student work. We have access to the expertise of all TAMK degree programmes, research, development and education environments as well as students. We tailor our services according to our customers' needs.

We carry out usability assessment and usability testing in simulated (testbed) and real (Living Lab) environments together with service providers and end users.
We offer service development with service design tools and product development services for health and wellbeing technology products and software.
For health and social services providers, we offer demonstrations and trials of health and wellbeing technology solutions, as well as advice on their implementation and user training.

We offer our customers expertise in the following areas:

health and wellbeing technology regulation, product development and quality management
mapping customer and user needs and requirement specification
service design and co-creation
implementation of health and wellbeing technology devices and software, user training and educational use.
