We focus on the practical aspects of software engineering with concrete research topics. The mission of the network is to develop efficient ways to produce better quality software in a predictable and economically sustainable way.

- Data-driven software engineering - collecting of data from software and its development process for analysis, decision making and process improvement.
- Web and cloud: architectural solutions for IoT software, edge computing, cloud-native architectures and liquid software.
- Software system architectures for industrial informatics and industrial internet applications.
- Testing methodologies.
- Computer science education research, engineering education, educational tools.
We aim to develop efficient ways to produce better quality software in a predictable and economically sustainable way. With close collaboration with local industry, we ensure that research has practical value and teaching given by the network is industry relevant.
In addition to the contribution to the scientific community, the group has large teaching responsibilities and thus wants to bring the research results to teaching in a rapid phase.
