We focus on the practical aspects of software engineering with concrete research topics. The mission of the network is to develop efficient ways to produce better quality software in a predictable and economically sustainable way.
Research focus and goals
Our research topics are:
- Data-driven software engineering - collecting of data from software and its development process for analysis, decision making and process improvement.
- Web and cloud: architectural solutions for IoT software, edge computing, cloud-native architectures and liquid software.
- Software system architectures for industrial informatics and industrial internet applications.
- Testing methodologies.
- Computer science education research, engineering education, educational tools.
We aim to develop efficient ways to produce better quality software in a predictable and economically sustainable way. Our research is mainly focused on data-driven software engineering, web and cloud, including IoT and edge computing, software architectures for industrial informatics and industrial internet applications, testing methodologies, computer science and engineering education research, educational tools, software-intensive business and product development.
With close collaboration with local industry, we ensure that research has practical value and teaching given by the network is industry relevant.
In addition to the contribution to the scientific community, the group has large teaching responsibilities and thus wants to bring the research results to teaching in a rapid phase.
