University consortium of Pori
Duration of project1.9.2025–31.8.2027

The aim of the project is to strengthen the goal-oriented cooperation between the companies operating in the industrial park of Pori Kupariteollisuuspuisto and the educational and research institutions operating in the Pori region, in order to form a more functional centre of expertise.

An operating model, called Satakunta Innovation Hub, is planned to support and develop the RDI cooperation in the region. Regional cooperation enables the growth of RDI activities based on the needs of the companies. It improves the competence of personnel and attracts experts to the technology metal industry. Cooperation between the companies and the research institutes in the technology metal sector increases the attractiveness and investment opportunities in the region.

A working life forum of the representatives of the local companies and the educational institutions will be formed within the innovation hub. The aim of the forum is to forecast and respond quickly to the changing needs of skilled labour, and to promote continuous learning and the availability of skilled labour. Continuos cooperation enables rapid and flexible planning and implementation of new trainings.
