PRIMUS: Drug prescription and disease patterns between Finnish health care professionals and their patients

Tampere University
Area of focusHealth, Society

PRIMUS is a register-based cohort study that aims to investigate (inappropriate) drug prescription patterns in Finland, and factors that correlate and interact with these patterns and subsequent health outcomes of patients. We include all individuals alive and residing in Finland on 01-01-2000 as well as individuals born after the inclusion date. Using the unique identification numbers, the source population (~6.9M) is linked with their sosiodemographic data, healthcare episodes and drug prescriptions.
