Light Robots group work at the interface between physics, soft mechanics and material engineering. We are interested in developing general research routes for materials robotics that are far away from equilibria, locomotive, interactive, and capable of self-feedback, adaptation and communication.
Focus areas:
1. Light driven soft micro robots that can walk, swim and are capable of decision-making.
2. The Flight Trilogy: disperser, glider and hovering – all based on light responsive materials.
3. Self-oscillators that interact.
