Finnish Randomized Study of Screening for Prostate Cancer (FinRSPC)

A population-based randomised prostate cancer screening trial covered a total of 80,000 men from Helsinki and Tampere regions. Men in the intervention arm were invited to PSA-based screening during 1996-2007. 

The aims were to evaluate effects of screening on prostate cancer mortality, as well as quality of life effects and cost-effectiveness of PSA-based screening.
