EPSIR - Empowering parents and families for active social inclusion and resilience

Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Duration of project31.12.2020–31.12.2022

To improve digital and communicative competencies of educators and family workers in 5 trainings.

Goal

Following  the sudden insurgence of Covid-19,
what was considered a normal lifestyle, where kids go to daycare/school and parents go to work, does not exist anymore as people have no choice but to  adapt to a new
way of life. Families and educators are forced to orient themselves
in the  new online tools.
Migration processes are very different between the respective partner countries. Migration process can be daunting for some parents
and families, learning a new language, culture and tradition. It can require much readjustment in trying to integrate.
Due to cultural differences, partners have different methods and models for approaching and working with parents and families.
The objective of the project, is to create awareness and empower parents and families by improving parenting knowledge and skills and digital proficiency,
The primary target group of our project are adult educators.
Partners are from Norway, Finland, Poland, Croatia & Greece.
The objective of the project is to promote internationalization by active mobilization and the educators’  competences in training and working with parents and families. And to promote benefits of ICT, like benchmarking and sharing best practices.
