Education and the Development of Evidence-Based Competence

This project conducts research on health care education and professional development, aiming to enhance educational content and promote continuous learning among educators and students. It also generates up-to-date knowledge on the competencies and continuing education of nursing students, educators, and health care professionals. Multicultural aspects of education form a central component of the research.

The research focuses on the following areas:

  1. Multiculturalism in health care and education
  2. Evidence-based competence among health care teacher trainees and educators
  3. Guidance and bullying experiences among nursing students
  4. Competence development of nurses through various pedagogical methods
  5. Mentoring and professional development of teacher trainees
  6. Continuing education needs of health care educators
  7. Supervisors’ perspectives on systematic competence development among educators
  8. Mental well-being of health care students and its support through pedagogical approaches
  9. Group guidance and peer support in master’s thesis processes among health sciences students
