About me

I am a doctoral researcher in Gerontology at Tampere University.  In addition, I hold a Master's degree in Health Sciences (MHS) and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Nursing (Registered Nurse, RN).

In my doctoral study, I examine mental health and mental well-being among the oldest old. I investigate 1) prevalence of depression among people aged 90 and over and associated sociodemographic, functional ability, and housing-related factors, and (2) how people aged 90 and over describe the interplay between mental well-being and their housing environment.

My doctoral study includes quantitative and qualitative research methods.
