Sinikka Selin

I work as a postdoctoral researcher on the project A Dim Light of Dawn? Finnish Post-Cold War Experiences Between East and West, 1989–1995, led by Senior Research Fellow Tuomas Tepora. My own research focuses on children and young people, and their readings and experiences of Finland as part of an integrating Europe. I analyze how they interpreted Finnish and European identities and the relationship between them, as well as how they viewed the future during the liminal times full of uncertainty.
