About me

I am a PhD researcher in eco-social policy with a research interest in how welfare states can operate within ecological limits. I specialise in international comparative research and flexibly apply both quantitative and qualitative methods. Within the field of sustainability research, my focus is particularly on governance and public policy perspectives.

My dissertation examines the Wellbeing Economy and its potential as an administrative instrument for implementing sustainability transformations. I have collected data from ten Western countries that have developed their own Beyond GDP indicator initiatives, and I am investigating what types of governance mechanisms countries have used to incorporate these initiatives into national-level decision-making processes – that is, how their Wellbeing Economy governance models are structured. In the later stages of my PhD, I examine the effectiveness of these governance models.
