Piri Hiltunen

I have a Master's in Community Education and I have been working at TAMK (or predecessors) for 30 years in December 2024! I'm definitely a cat person. My hobbies include singing in a choir (Miskantti) and attending bilingual pub quizes. 

I'm responsible for international student recruitment and marketing of our degree programmes in English (recruitment events, portal visibility, lead management, agent liaison etc). I work in close collaboration with admissions services, degree programmes and the TAMK Communications team. I'm closely involved in our retention phase, assisting new students to become a part of the community, as a member of the TAMK Welcome Team.

Tuition fees and related scholarship waivers are an essential part of my work, including reporting and data entry into TAMK student registry. I'm the superuser of the payment platform Flywire.

Together with a colleague, I'm responsilbe for the TAMK Student Ambassadors of our degrees in English. I'm also a superuser in both Unibuddy and Goin' - two digital solutions that allow students to network and share peer support in a safe environment.
