
About me
I am a professor of health economics at Tampere University and the Gerontology Research Centre. I have a doctorate in health economics, and I am a docent at the University of Eastern Finland in the field of health economics, especially the economics of aging. I also work part-time and as a research director at the University of Eastern Finland.
Responsibilities
Teaching health economics to undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising doctoral theses and master's theses. Leading the work package of the Sustainable Diets for a Healthier Society and Environment: a Multidimensional Approach (SUST-360) project. Conducting research in collaboration with several disciplines at Tampere University and other national and international research institutions. Developing health economics research at Tampere University, applying for research funding. Acting as the person responsible for the Health and Wellbeing Systems group.
