About me

I'm a historian specialising on medieval and early modern (ca. 1500-1800) history. I'm especially interested in social and cultural history, history of everyday life, history of drinking, and cultural heritage. 

I defended my PhD thesis "Social meanings of drinking in 17th c. rural Western Finland" (in Finnish) in Tampere university in 2020. Since then, I have conducted two personal postdoc projects (The use of history in role playing games & Sociability and work in early modern Finnish taverns) and worked as a researcher in two projects (Biography as a method for early modern history & Viabundus Finland 1350-1650).
