About me
I am a doctoral researcher at Tampere University and an author. In my research project, I am exploring a postmigrant perspective on belonging of racialized young adults in Finland and Germany and future imaginaries. I am especially interested in analyzing how belonging is negotiated in an age of far-right success, the impact of racism, strategies of resistance and possible postmigrant futures.
Generally, the topics migration as a societal norm, anti-immigration narratives, colonial continuities, remembrance and memory in immigrant societies, postmigrant imaginaries and futures intrigue me.
I have published prose and several poems over the last few years. In 2021, I have written and performed a poetry performance with texts on migration and racism. In the following years I co-authored three anthologies - two on work migration in Germany ("Und so blieb man eben für immer". Gastarbeiter:innen und ihre Kinder 2023; Von Gästern und Geistern 2024) and one poetry collection on solidarity and opposing right-wing extremism (Bad Times Poetry: Schluss mit schönen Worten 2025).
