Tampere Universities
In 2024, Tampere University Library will pay eligible article processing charges related to open access publishing, as it did in the previous two years. The criteria for funding will also remain unchanged.

Persons who have an employment contract or an extensive resource contract with Tampere University or TAMK, or who are actively working towards a doctoral degree at Tampere University, are eligible to apply for support funding. Funding may be granted for the open publishing of a peer-reviewed scholarly book or article.

For more information on the criteria and how to apply for funding, please see the Library's Guide

What is an article processing charge?

Article processing charges (APCs) or book processing charges (BPCs) are fees charged by many publishers in exchange for making a publication openly available online and thus not receiving revenue from the use or sales of this publication.
