Gabriel Fauré's Requiem will be performed at the Choir Academy concert on Friday and Saturday
The TAMK Music Choir Academy will continue this week on Friday and Saturday. TAMK singing and choral conducting students will join the ranks of professional singers at the chamber choir Tampere Cappella under the direction of TAMK choral conducting lecturer Markus Yli-Jokipii. The program includes Gabriel Fauré's beloved Requiem, TAMK alumnus Janne Salmenkangas's Rauhan rukous, and the most beautiful Finnish songs by Leevi Madetoja and Laura Netzel. Tampere Cappella will be accompanied by organist Ilpo Laspas. Soloists will be Veera Hölsö and Jani Laaksonen, also TAMK alumni. The concerts will be held on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at Pirkkala Church and on Saturday, April 18 at 5 p.m. at Tampere Cathedral. Welcome!
