Is age but a number and really simply a question of attitude, or does chronological age still divide people into stereotypical and unequal positions? What are the current trends of ageism in Europe, and how can we combat ageism in all its many forms? And furthermore: how can we as researchers produce knowledge on ageism and ageing in a way that communicates, has a wide impact and creates new ways of working together and collaborating with both policy makers and practitioners?

You are warmly welcome to come and join our discussion on current research themes and approaches on ageism. The seminar speakers are members and partners of the EuroAgeism research and doctoral training network. MP, representative of the Ageing network in the Finnish Parliament, Heli Järvinen will contribute from the policy makers’ point of view.
The seminar is in English.
