Academic year Kick-off party

To kick things off, Wikirock will warm up the partygoers with their civilizing rock performance. Then, the Deans of Tampere University will face off on stage in a show unlike any other – the DeanBeef! Deans Jyrki Vuorinen (ITC), Marko Seppänen (MAB), Tiina Silander (EDU), Martti Kauranen (ENS), Liisa Häikiö (SOC) and Pekka Verho (BEN) as well as Vice Dean for Education Nina Hutri (MET) will take part in the DeanBeef.

Robin Packalen, one of Finland's most popular artists since 2012, will entertain us as the main artist of the Academic year Kick-off party! During his career, 26-year-old Packalen has released five multi-platinum albums, and his music has been streamed more than 500 million times in total, which strengthens his position in the top ranks of Finnish pop music.

Ticket sale

The ticket sale for the Academic year Kick-off party takes place in Kide.app starting at Tuesday 19 August 2025 starting at 14.00 (2 PM). The ticket costs 8€.

The Academic year Kick-off party will be held at Fame Club, which has unobstructed access from Koskenranta. There is an elevator in the lobby to access the entrance floor. Fame Club has an accessible toilet. Please tell us about your accessibility needs when buying a ticket, so we can take the best possible care of it!
