Liisa Ovaska

I am a doctoral researcher in journalism. In my dissertation, I study the datafication of journalism. I am interested in how journalists and audience members experience the role of audience data in journalism. Currently, I am working on a research project Journalism Shaped by Data in which I study how the readers encounter, make sense of, and experience the impact of audience data in their news consumption.

Prior Ph.D., I was a researcher in a project Printed or digital? The significance of user interface for reading habits and choices. In the project, we researched how people read the newspaper in print and digitally.
