Disruptions in Trepo repository

Tampere University's institutional repository Trepo has recently experienced frequent disruptions caused by external parties.
There have been numerous disruptions in the Trepo service towards the end of May. The disruptions are due to exceptionally high traffic volumes caused by various web crawlers and, to some extent, usage indicative of denial-of-service attacks. The issue is being addressed in close cooperation with the service provider and IT services.
