Oppimispäiväkirjaa arvioidaan erityisesti huomioiden opiskelijan kyky luennolla esitettyjen asioiden pohdintaan ja kommentointiin, ei luennon asioiden toistamiseen. Päiväkirjan tavoitteena on kehittää kriittistä ajattelua, kykyä erottaa olennainen epäolennaisesta ja kykyä esittää ajatuksia.
