The students will broaden their knowledge of political theory and various approaches in Political Science.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course unit, the students will be familiar with the tradition of Western political thought and its key theorists. Moreover, the students will be acquainted with modern political theory and its different kind of approaches, such as libertarianism, communitarianism, republicanism, feminism, and deliberative democracy. The students will have comprehensive knowledge of the development of political theories and their role in modern political research. The students are able to apply theories and approaches of Political Science to the analysis of practical political phenomena.
Contents
The main approaches and theorists of political thought; the development of political theories, the scientific and social significance of political theory and political philosophy; the main concepts of modern political theory.
