Description

Machine learning (artificial intelligence) is an emerging field of information technology (IT) and computer science (CS). The most important research fields of machine learning are computer vision, audio analysis, signal processing, natural language processing and robotics. This major takes the engineering approach where theory and practice are combined so that the students have strong understanding of the core theories but they fundamentally learn how to deploy machine learning software.

Objectives
  • Student is able to adopt, adapt and improve machine learning techniques to solve information technology and computer science problems and applications.
  • Student is able to use the advanced machine learning software tools, in particular, Matlab and Python programming and libraries.
  • Student is able to work on the most important application fields of machine learning: audio analysis, computer vision and natural language processing.
