The topics discussed in this course include: public service interpreting; the stakeholders in public service interpreting; educational opportunities in interpreting; key topics contexts in community interpreting. such as education, social work, health care (including mental health); the interpreter's memory and note-taking techniques; the public service interpreter's preparation for assignments; and ethical issues in the work of a public serviceinterpreter.
