The Grammar I subunit will explore the basic terminology of English grammar, as well as focus on defining and analysing sentence structure. The course will examine features of English grammar that are often problematic for learners, such as tense and use of articles.


The Phonology and Pronunciation subunit explores the main features of the speech organs and the basic concepts of phonetics as well as the phonetics of the English language on the phonological level. The course unit also examines the use of phonemes in different phonetic environments. The course also familiarizes the student with intonation patterns and the prosodic features of English.
