Kurssi on etäkurssi. Kurssin syksyn toteutuksella käytetään R-ohjelmistoa hyvin yksinkertaisella tavalla, eikä ohjelmointitaitoja edellytetä. Kurssin kevään toteutus tukeutuu SPSS-ohjelmistoon.
Kurssin 1. periodin toteutus sopii erityisen hyvin tilastotieteen ja matematiikan opiskelijoille sekä kaikille, jotka opiskelevat tilastotiedettä johdantokurssia pidemmälle. Toteutus ei ole matemaattisesti tai teoreettisesti vaativampi kuin kurssin kevään toteutus.
"Tutorryhmät" ovat vapaaehtoisia laskupajoja. Keskiviikkoinen on perinteinen Pinnissä; torstainen on etäpaja Zoomissa. Molempia pitää Mikko Korhonen.
