The mixed methods approach (or multimethodology) refers to the systematic use of several different research methods to gather and analyse data. Typically both quantitative and qualitative methods are used. The courses organised under this heading deal with the concept of mixed methods and the opportunities, limitations and practices of applying this approach. Doctoral researchers also receive theoretical and practical support so that they can apply mixed methods to their own research.
