  • Typical torque curves, need of gears, protection of drives
  • Choose of the suitable drive (max current, power losses, temperature)
  • Operation principle, structure and applications of DC motors. Control of DC drive.
  • Operation principle, structure and applications of synchronous machines (permanent magnet machine). Control of synhronous motor drive.
  • Operation principle, structure and applications of induction motors. Start-up methods of induction motor. Scalar control (U/f-control, Volts/Hz-control) of induction motor.

  • Detailed knowledge about the choose of motor drive
  • Effect of thyristor-rectifer to grid power quality.
  • Operation principle, structure and applications of reluctance machine.
