- Kappaleiden suunnittelu, työstöratojen ja tarkastusohjelmien tekeminen CAD/CAM-järjestelmällä. Valmistuksen simulointi ja verifiointi.
- Kappaleiden valmistus lastuamalle, AM-menetelmällä ja lasertyöstöllä.
- Työstövoimat ja lastuavan terän kuluminen.
